It’s that plain and simple—two of the most important words a person should say daily. Taken a step further, two of the most important words that directly contribute to the success of every breeding program in the country.
From time-to-time, we are all guilty of over-complicating customer service with good intentions and forget the good that can come from a genuine, old-fashioned thank you. So I ask that all of you keep this in mind when you are developing your customer service plan. The ability to say thank you, and mean it, is one of the easiest and most important parts of being a successful seedstock producer.
That said, those will be my parting words of ‘soap box’ wisdom I’ll be sharing with you. As some of you may know, I’ve opted for a career change and am transitioning into marketing management.
So with that in mind, I’d like to take this opportunity to sincerely say thank you to all of you.
Over the last eight years, I’ve enjoyed the pleasure and privilege of getting to know many of you. Working alongside and learning a great deal from many of the finest cattle people I know (the Limousin family) has afforded me the opportunity to make this change and for that I’m grateful.
Moving forward, I wish nothing but the best for all of you, your breeding programs and my successor. As I wrote in the first Limousin World I was a part of in 2005, “there’s a lot be excited about and I look forward to the opportunity of being involved in one of the finest breed’s of cattle in the business.”
After all these years, I still feel that way today and truly believe the future is even brighter now than it was then.
To all the breeders, I wish you the best of luck this fall as you are running from one project to the next with harvest, fall calving, upcoming production sales and fall breeding plans. And as always, I look forward to seeing you down the road.
Lastly and certainly not least, I’d like to say thank you to the entire Limousin World staff for their unconditional support from the beginning. It’s been a great and memorable experience I will forever be thankful for.
