As I write this, Marisa and I are on our way back from our trip to North Africa. It was a tremendous trip that should yield abundant harvest in the future.
Trying to condense what we experienced into something for you to read, it seemed that encouragement and thankfulness are the words in the forefront of my mind. It is only fitting that I use this platform to pass on this blessing and gratefulness to all of you.
We were so encouraged by our friends and family, including our Limousin family, as we prepared for this trip. We are thankful to have had such welcomed support from each of you. We were also encouraged by the opportunities we witnessed in North Africa. We know that week will have an impact on their lives, but also in ours. It is amazing what a smile, encouraging word, or time together can do, even among strangers. Masses of people now have faces and names that matter to us.
From this, I want to challenge you to be intentional and aggressive in your efforts to encourage others, especially as we enter the holiday season and close out the year. From your employees to your customers, fellow breeders, and anyone in your sphere of influence—every now and then we all need a little reminder that others see how hard we are working. We are all in this together, and a bit of encouragement can make all the difference in someone’s day or whole life.
A special thanks to Marisa for partnering with me on this trip and being an encouragement to me every day.
And thank you for encouraging me.
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.†Hebrews 10:24
