Around The World | September 2012

Something is moving. Something is shaking. Can you feel the rumbling? Can you hear the chatter? I am referring to the excitement swelling in the breed.

As you have read through this issue I hope you picked up on the positive vibe and enthusiasm that surrounded the National Junior Limousin Show & Congress and All-American Limousin Futurity in Des Moines, Iowa.

It was a powerful week for the Limousin breed. A huge number of junior and open show exhibitors showcased our breed’s best—both genetics and youth. Lots of new families attended their first Junior National show—making new friends and having loads of fun on the Iowa State Fairgrounds.

It was exhilarating to see the passion and adrenalin participants exhibited at the week’s events. It will be interesting to watch this spill over into the fall sale season which has just began.

With quality genetics and an enthusiastic group of young ambassadors, the future of the Limousin breed is very bright.

Something exciting for my family is the opportunity my wife, Marisa, and I have. We are going on a mission trip in late September and early October where we will be visiting an unreached group of people in North Africa. This will be a new experience for me, but it is sure to be rewarding. I ask for your support as we venture on this journey, and I look forward to sharing the results with you.

As Jesus says in Acts 1:8 (NIV) “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…”

I encourage you to activate your own enthusiasm and watch it spread!
