Answers To Frequently Asked DNA Questions

With the recent changes to the DNA testing structure and protocol at NALF, we have had a number of questions arise that deserve to be addressed. The following are a list of the top questions we have received along with an explanation of each.
Board of Directors Held Summer Meeting
The North American Limousin Foundation Board of Directors conducted its summer meeting August 21-22 in Lebanon, Missouri. Fiscal year 2012-2013 planning and budget discussions were the main topics on the agenda. In the end, the board approved a balanced budget. This “Members Memo†includes key actions. A summary of approved motions is in the secured, members-only portion of the NALF website.
Late summer has been extremely busy for the staff at NALF. The Emerging Leaders Academy (ELA) was a successful event with Limousin members having had the opportunity to engage with CattleFax, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA), U.S. Meat Export Federation and JBS/Five Rivers. Additionally, participants visited a 30,000-head feedyard in northern Colorado that feeds cattle not only conventionally, but also to a variety of branded programs that incorporate Limousin cattle into natural programs like Laura’s Lean, Tyson Natural and Meyers Natural Beef.

Before I tell you what it is, allow me to back up. I have been a smart phone user for several years—everything from Blackberry, to iPhone, to a Samsung Rugby—but to be honest, I have never utilized much of their capabilities.
